9. TABLING OF MAYORAL MINUTES WITHOUT DISCUSSION
Mayor Delle Donne: Wednesday, 26 May 2010 – together with Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mark Dacombe and Deputy Mayor Bruce Mason, have attended the WALGA South East Metropolitan Zone Meeting held at the Town of Victoria Park Chambers. Matters raised by our delegates were in relation to the conduct of the SMRC publication of correspondence on the web site. A deputation on deregulation of trading Hours was presented by Mr. Wayne Spenser, Executive Director from the Retail Traders Association of Western Australia Inc. (RTA) presented to the Zone Meeting all the relevant facts for Local Governments so that Councils can
consider their best course of action to alleviate the negative impact of the circumstances within their boundaries. The RTA presented suggested courses of action along with the consequences of no action to stop the pending imbalances occurring. I found it most interesting.
