1. SMRC’s Health Report

“Preliminary Health Risk Assessment of air emissions from SMRC composting facility at Canning Vale’ by Toxikos Toxicology Consultants” dated 12 August 2008.
Residents have been waiting for the Health Report to be released. Much to residents disgust the document has not been released to SMRC Councils or the public. And is deemed by the SMRC as commercial and in confidence.

Report 16 Standing Committee On Environment And Public Affairs Municipal Waste Management In Western Australia.
Finding 8: The Committee finds that the community’s concerns regarding odour issues at the Regional Resource Recovery Centre in Canning Vale were legitimate.
Finding 12: The Committee finds that the Southern Metropolitan Regional Council had a poor communication strategy with respect to its Regional Resource Recovery Centre and the ongoing concerns of the local community.
